Hamilton, 22, has made a combined 51 career appearances for TFC (MLS regular season, Canadian Championship, MLS Cup playoffs and Concacaf Champions League), registering 10 goals and five assists. Hamilton originally signed with the first team on January 9, 2014, becoming the ninth player in club history to sign as an academy product. Hamilton has earned two caps for the Canadian national team. He made his debut for Canada on October 14, 2014 as a substitute in a friendly match against Colombia.
Was traded to Columbus Crew on 10th July 2019 for Patrick Mullins. Columbus took a salary cap hit on the deal (retaining some of Mullins' higher salary on their payroll) but TFC also provided Columbus with an international slot until the end of the year and first refusal on an un-named international.
